Over the years the expertise of the Collars craftsmen have been called
upon by companies outside the marine industry to supply our services.
With glue-lam structures being the core of our business providing
similar products has always been second nature, whether a laminated beam
or a hollow column. As most of our machinery is set up for large bulks
of timber and with 7500 sq/ft of workshops, and a un interrupted run of
100' in the mill, oversize commissions prove little problem.
Over the years commissions have included work for film companies, maple sinks for John Paul Getty, church font covers and of course large columns in both softwood as well as oak. Below are just a few examples of work we have produce outside the Marine Industry, and whatever your requirement we will be willing to discuss it further.
