Successful first season for Peggy Bawn
The unique sailing yacht
Peggy Bawn, originally
built in 1894, has come to the end of a full restoration and rebuild by
a team of craftsmen led by Michael Kennedy, Co. Waterford, Ireland.
Collars were pleased to supply a replacement gaff, topsail yard and
boom, to this delightful yacht that captures a piece history.
After launching last June she made her way to the Mediterranean Classic series in time for the Cannes and Saint-Tropez Regattas. After a 2nd and a 3rd in her class, using her 50 year old sails, one needed reminding she was designed 111 years prior. For more info www.peggybawn.net
