The Drascombe Coaster blends the open-boat character of the Lugger with the comfort of a small cabin, making it ideal for coastal cruising and longer adventures. Its seaworthiness and ample accommodation have won it fans worldwide. Collars provide replacement wooden spars in spruce for the Coaster, supplied fully varnished but without fittings, apart from the main mast which is fitted with a new pulley wheel at the masthead.
 
While the spars have remained largely unchanged there were two different mast band sizes used over the years. Please measure the inside diameter of the top band which should be either 60mm on the early boats and 64mm on later models and inform us when ordering. All the mast are now supplied with a small internal wiring channel to allow for masthead electrics if required. Should this not be required it can be simply blanked off with some mastic.
