First built by Charlie Ward (North Norfolk Boatyard), the Norfolk Oyster is a 16-foot gaff-rigged dayboat designed for performance under sail and simplicity in handling. Its centreplate and shallow draft make it ideal for estuary cruises and sheltered sea days. Neil Thompson Boats began producing it from approximately 2008, maintaining its traditional lines and appeal.
 
Collars supply the full set of wooden spars in varnished spruce, constructed, shaped, sanded and sealed with a wash coat of varnish. We can also provide fully finished spars, varnished and dressed with the fittings from your original spars, sent in, cleaned, and refitted post-varnish. 
 
The gaff is supplied with Ash laminated jaws fitted to the spar, and on the finished spar please add leathering if required
