The Salterns Wagtail is a delightful 12-foot-6-inch clinker dinghy, built in Bursledon and later in Oxford, with classic, timeless lines and a stable, forgiving nature—perfect for quiet days on the water, or family outings. Light and easy to handle, it brings traditional charm in a compact package. Collars provides the handcrafted varnished spruce spars for the Wagtail, continuing the tradition of quality and authenticity that Salterns built its reputation on.
 
The spars are supplied fully varnished but without the mast hardware. Later boats carried a stainless steel gaff jaw which can easily be removed and transferred onto the new spar, likewise the same with the goose neck fitting.
